She felt comforted by the Ronald McDonald house at this hospital when she spent much time there with her family. 100% of their proceeds go to families in need during their time at the hospital. Her platform is to help the Ronald McDonald house and get others to volunteer for this amazing organization.

Andrea Andrade

Ms West Coast

My name is Andrea Andrade. I am a 27 years old and was born in Michoacán,Mexico. I came to the United States at the age of 4. I have 3 brothers and 2 very loving parents. I started working at Telemundo and Q97 radio station at the age of 17. Working at such a young age taught me self discipline and motivated me to achieve all of my life goals. I stayed in the corporate world working for CBS and NBC for a few years in Marketing and Advertising, something I am very passionate about doing. Back in 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. After colorectal Surgery and 6 months of chemotherapy I am now in remission. For the past year and a half I have been dedicating my time to working and volunteering at local hospitals and being a public advocate for Cancer Patients. During my chemotherapy treatments I found that being in pageants was something that made me feel beautiful and strong in a time like mine. I was able to break down the stereotype of what cancer patients “look like”. Someone who is weak, bald and very sick looking. Although on the inside I felt sick to my stomach because of my chemotherapy, I wanted to be and look normal. Pageantry taught me how to do that. It taught me that beauty went beyond the outside look. To love yourself, love your intelligence and love what you do to help others. Winning Ms. West Coast has given me a platform to help other girls love themselves as well. Every crown, every title I have won I do it in dedication to those fighting for their lives. Those who have fought and lost it. Those who have fought and beat it.
